This concept was the first guitar Simon Raw created for his (Dirty Thirties) Juke Joint Collection. Listening to old Charlie Patton records and imagining seeing him play in and around the Delta inspired him to design “The Bo Weavil”.

Patton was the true “King of the Delta Blues”. Musicologists consider him among the most important musicians that America produced in the twentieth century. “The Bo Weavil” is Simon’s tribute and had Patton lived (and had he been around at the time) he would have designed and given him this guitar to play. If this concept guitar makes production she will be fitted with our Jason Lollar built, polished nickel blade single coil pickup.
